Lake Kabetogama has long been known as one of the best walleye lakes in the state of Minnesota.....and for a good reason. State Fishery officials have often said if they had to list the definition of a great walleye structure lake in the Webster dictionary, they would put Kabetogama in as the gold standard. Over the years, fishermen who have fished this lake know that statement is true. But, in the midst of all of the talk about the walleye and northern pike fishery, the smallmouth bass fishing on Kabetogama is often overlooked. Shhhhh....don't tell anyone this is one of the best smallmouth lakes in all of Minnesota. Whether it is a trip out on the lake with the kids or that avid bass fisherman from Tennessee, Driftwood guests have discovered that this species is doing well in Kabetogama and they are a blast to catch. These pictures are all of Driftwood guests who have come to us with a desire to learn about smallmouth fishing in Kab. Special thanks to Dad who always figures out just how and just where to catch these beautiful fish.
